As the new General Manager of Firestone Building Products Latin America and on behalf of Firestone, I am proud to present "Firestone LAC E-News” to you. The launch of this communication tool is a part of our efforts to further increase our transparency and information in front of our clients in the Latin America region. There are many exciting transformations and improvements occurring at Firestone and this newsletter will act as a vehicle for enhanced communications with our customers.
In the spirit of keeping you informed about items of interest that affect our company, we wanted to share with you that Firestone Building Products Company, LLC (FSBP) has implemented a significant reorganization creating “Firestone Building Products International”. Over the years, FSBP has expanded into new markets, and it is this success that demands a new structure to continue growth into the future and to provide even better service to its international customers.
This organization will serve contractors and distributors in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East offering products from roofing, metal and lining. Jon Vasuta was named Chief Operating Officer of this new structure at Firestone.
This is a great new since you as our client in Latin America are very important to our continued success in the region and I’m confident that with your ongoing support we’ll endure Firestone commitment to international at a level higher than ever before.

Carrasco General Cesáreo L. Berisso International Airport is the largest airport in Uruguay. It is located north of Ciudad de la Costa in the Canelones department, in close proximity to (and east of) the capital city of Montevideo, which it serves. Ciudad de la Costa is the name of the city where the airport is located, which extends into eastern Montevideo. The Carrasco International Airport serves more than 1,500,000 passengers each year, and by 2010 it is projected to serve more than 2,800,000 passengers.

UltraPly TPO Inside/Outside Corners

Firestone is modifying the design of the UltraPly TPO Inside/Outside Corners. The change affects the flange on the outside corner portion of the part. The flange that is heat-welded to the deck has been reduced in size, and the shape has been rounded. This will decrease the amount of area to be welded and thus reduce the labor costs for installations.

UltraPly TPO InvisiWeld Non-Penetrating Fastening System
Firestone Building Products is pleased to introduce the Firestone UltraPly TPO InvisiWeld System. It is a high performance, non-penetrating TPO membrane fastening system that includes a special TPO coated Firestone UltraPly InvisiWeld plate fastened with Heavy Duty, Heavy Duty Plus or Purlin fasteners and used to attach Firestone approved insulation boards. After laying out the TPO membrane over the plates, an induction welding tool is placed over each plate and within 6 seconds, the plate is welded to the underside of TPO membrane. It’s that simple! Saving you time, labor and material.
